Editing for Everyone provides multiple levels of editing to meet your project's specific needs. Don't worry if you're not sure what kind of editing is right for you -- that's why we're here.
Every client receives an electronically edited document that shows every single change your editor made to polish your writing, detailed instructions for rewriting if necessary, and suggestions of online resources that may be helpful to you in finalizing your draft.
Proofreading - We'll correct your grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Copyediting - We'll correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation, plus we'll provide minimum rewriting for clarity and flow.
Substantive editing - In addition to grammar, spelling, punctuation, and minimum rewriting, we'll also provide specific and instructive queries to guide you in clarifying and supporting your main points and to improve the overall style and organization of your work.
Coaching and planning - We'll help you brainstorm, outline, or just generally get started in 1-hour blocks by phone
Manuscript preparation - We'll format your manuscript according to standard style guides (APA, AMA, Chicago) or to in-house or publication-specific guidelines you provide.
